my self care routine!

Hey guys! In today's post I'll be taking you through my self care routine! This routine is all external, so its basically how I take care of body.

I love using scrubs on my skin because they keep it nice and smooth! Its important to exfoliate your skin in order to promote skin cell turnover, aka get rid of the dead skin cells! This helps keep your skin glowy, even and smooth!

Some of my favorite scrubs are:

1. Soap and Glory Flake Away

All the Soap and Glory scrubs are amazing but this one is my favorite! Its classic and smells absolutely amazing, not to mention it makes my skin smell so nice!

2. Lush Scrubbee

This little bee shaped bar is the cutest exfoliator I've ever used, and the best part is its just as cute as effective! The yellow part of the bee is made of shea butter, coconut butter and more moisturizing elements and the black stripes are made of almonds and coconut shells to help scrub off dead skin cells!

3. DIY Scrubs

There are so many DIY scrubs on pinterest and honestly the DIY ones are just as effective as the previously mentioned exfoliators! Some of my personal favorite recipes are a coffee scrub consisting of coffee grounds and coconut oil/olive oil and a sugar scrub which is just plain old sugar and coconut oil/olive oil!

Exfoliating your skin is super important, but the next thing is even more important! Moisturizing your skin is what keeps it soft and smooth, and its an important step to put on moisturizer especially after exfoliating!

Some of my favs are:

1. Soap and Glory Righteous Butter

I love Soap and Glory products, so its no surprise that I would include a moisturizer from them! The Righteous Butter is one my favorite moisturizers! Its rich, creamy, and smells amazing! One thing to mention is that in my opinion the jar is better than the pump version, so I would recommend picking up a tub of this skin heaven!

2. Aveeno Sensitive Daily Moisturizer

I've been using Aveeno since I was little, and its honestly still something I love! Its a classic and is the best go to moisturizer for every skin type, especially sensitive.

3. Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer

This moisturizer came out a while ago, and it has been amazing me ever since! My favorite scent is the coconut and its so helpful for moisturizing when you come out of the shower.

I honestly don't have much of a hair care routine but these are some products that I use for my hair so enjoy!

1. Lush Happy Happy Joy Joy Conditioner and I Love Juicy Shampoo

These are my favorite shampoo and conditioner I have ever used! They are so good especially if you have oily hair, these make it feel so clean and smell amazing!

2. Marula Oil

This oil is amazing for your hair! Makes it super soft and shiny and its super lightweight so it won't make your hair oily!

This is basically a condensed version of my skin care routine! If you want to see a more in depth version check out my skincare posts!

1. La Roche Posay 3 Step Effaclar Kit

I've talked about these a million times, because they are honestly the best acne products I've ever used!

2. Obagi Medical Facial Moisturizer

My absolute favorite moisturizer! Its lightweight and super hydrating.

3. Clarisonic Mia

I've been using a Clarisonic for almost two years, and its honestly the best thing I ever did for my skin! Using a facial brush helps clean your skin 3x better than your hands making sure all your makeup is removed! By the way guys you definitely do not have to get a Clariosonic to have the same effect. I'm aware they are more on the pricey side, but they're are so many alternatives out there such as Vanity Planet, Olay and so many more!

I also don't really have a nail care routine but these are some products I use when my nails are literally dead to help keep them strong!

1. Pink Gel Coat

This is a nail treatment thing that I put on after I get my gel nails removed to kinda revive my nails! You keep the treatment, which is basically a clear nail polish, on for about a week and it really helps your nails!

2. Cuticle Oil

So this is a really vague thing, but any cuticle oil is great for your nails! I use this also when I remove my gel nails because it moisturizers my nail beds to keep em' strong and help them grow!
